Who is behind Abora Solar?
For this new article, we would like to launch a new format which aims to take you behind the scenes of Abora by letting you discover how it works and the people behind Abora Solar.
Abora continues to grow
Since its creation in 2017, Abora has grown from 5 employees to 31 in just 4 years! The team has continued to expand and its growth continues with the opening of a subsidiary in Lyon, France. In addition to the increasing number of employees, Abora’s growth is also marked by the number of collaborators it now has all over the world: Holland, Chile, Ecuador, Germany, Portugal etc. The Aragonese company, which started from scratch, can now say that it has more than 6 distributors in the world and also more than 22 countries where its solar technology is installed.
Our growth also goes beyond numbers, as in March 2022 Abora Solar moved from its 1,000 m2 factory to a new 3,000 m2 factory. Abora triples its volume! With this new factory, Abora’s production line will quadruple and the sales team will also be expanded. This change of factory marks a definitive turning point in the history of Abora, going from being a start-up to a 2.0 company.
How is Abora organised?
Abora is organised around 7 well-defined departments. The first department is, logically, the Management Department, which is made up of all the directors of each department, who are, by the way, our founders. Then we have the technical and R&D department, the operations department, the sales department, the marketing department, the after-sales department and the administration department. And now, I invite you to get to know them better.
Technical and R&D Department
The technical and R&D department is the key department in Abora’s structure. In fact, Abora’s main mission is innovation. We could even say that it is the driving force behind Abora: our aim is not simply to offer you innovative technology, but to constantly go further in terms of innovation, always seeking to offer innovative and revolutionary solar technology. An expression that would fit the department perfectly is: why do more when you can do better? That is why we have not produced just another photovoltaic solar panel on the market, but we have gone further by proposing an innovative technology: the hybrid solar panel whose technology is the most cost-effective on the market.
Marta Cañada is the Director of the Department and Fernando Pérez is its Technical Director. The team is made up of Marta López, Telmo Zubiri, Javier González, María Carmona and Bernardo Escura who joined in 2021.

Commercial Department
This is the fastest growing department at Abora, having grown from just 1 salesperson to 11 in less than 4 years. Bianca Sagarra, a true sales expert, heads this department. Later, the team was formed by Daniel Isiegas, Azucena Ortega, Marc Sererols, Isidro Berdascas, Patricia Real, Alejandro Marcen, Adolfo Villanueva, Alejandro Gracia and Daniel Catalan.
This department has the particularity of being divided in two, since within it we have the Pôle France represented by Christophe Blanc and Sandrine Pitel.

After Sales Department
This department was the last to be created with Ricardo Lara at the head. The functions of the After-Sales Service are traditionally made up of services such as: management of the replacement of damaged products and in general, ensuring the quality of service to our customers before possible unforeseen events.
At Abora we like to say that once you enter the Abora community, you don’t leave because our relationship with you doesn’t end when our panels are installed, we stay by your side to answer any questions and ensure the quality of your installation.
Marketing Department
This is the department that you don’t see but is very important to us: it’s in charge of all the staff, but also the one that manages all the invoices and the financial part of Abora! It is made up of Mapi Hernández and Daniel Catalán.
