We create a new hybrid solar collector from scratch under the vision of going to the essential principle of transforming solar irradiation into heat and electricity.

A Key Issue

According to the latest REN21 report «Renewables 2021 Global Status Report», heat accounts for more than 50 % of the total globally consumed energy worldwide, a volume much higher than the required 17 % of electricity by the entire planet. It makes sense, therefore, that decarbonisation plans should consider generating more heat than electricity in a sustainable and zero-emissions way.

Hybrid solar panels are the solution

Abora Solar is a company specialised in designing, developing and manufacturing hybrid solar collectors, which simultaneously provide heat and electricity. These panels maximise energy efficiency per unit of floor area.

Our goal is to bring to the market a new hybrid solar collector designed from essential to take care of the planet as well as people. This is SHE.

We have patented a breakthrough innovation that completely changes the structure and manufacturing process of hybrid solar panels, allowing us to simultaneously increase energy efficiency and reduce costs. With SHE collector we can provide 5 years payback and supply 4 times more energy than a photovoltaic panel and extended life cycle.

Our goal for 2025

The solar thermal market relative to buildings and industries is estimated to be valued in € 195 billion and would have nearly 450 million solar collectors installed by 2025.

Thanks to EIC Accelerator Pilot grant, Abora Solar will finalise the development of our breakthrough solar SHE panel as well as the manufacturing line that will enable its market launch in 2022. Our goal is to reach 50.000 panels which will be fabricated in Europe and sold worldwide in 2025.
