The most cost-effective hybrid solar panel in the world
CDTI – NEOTEC Project
This project can be divided into four major challenges:
1. Study and optimisation of hybrid solar panels with aH-Tech technology and market readiness
Experimentally model, characterize and validate the hybrid solar panel with aH-Tech. The results obtained will be used in the optimization of the overall efficiency of the panel through knowledge of the behavior of each of its layers. Different types of crystals will also be studied in order to reduce radiation and reflection losses.
2. Process design engineering for the hybrid solar panel (PVT) manufacturing line
Design a manufacturing line with process technologies, methodologies and manufacturing philosophies from Industry 4.0. The aim is to improve quality and efficiency, as well as reduce costs and production times.
3. Design and implementation of a new photovoltaic layer (PV) manufacturing line
Meeting the objective of manufacturing the PV layer in Abora facilities will allow to optimize this layer for application in PVTs and cover previous stages of the manufacturing process.
4. Design and implementation of the photovoltaic cell (PV) encapsulation line in heat recovery units
Currently, the encapsulation and adhesion of PV cells to the heat recovery is performed with two sheets of the EVA copolymer in two processes at very high temperature and vacuum. The aim is to implement an innovative method that does so in a single step and with novel and different materials. This process will also reduce the technological barrier of using EVA.
